What more is there to say? Four years. Two like-minded guys busting each other's chops while trying to give a platform to the people who spread the Gospel through song. This wasn't a chore — it was an OPPORTUNITY, capital letters and all.

We got to interview the guys we grew up watching from the cheap seats — albums memorized front to back, posters on the wall, the whole bit. John Schlitt and Bob Hartman from Petra. Michael Sweet and Oz Fox from Stryper. Rex Carroll from Whitecross. And that's just the start. Add in two festivals loaded with bands and two separate backstage runs, and the DREAM — the one we just called "a podcast" — happened right in front of us.

Listen close enough and you might catch a voice crack here or there. That's not bad audio editing. That's just two grown men trying not to lose their composure in front of their heroes.

After four years and nearly 200 episodes, we ran the gamut. And we landed somewhere we didn't expect to land: done. Not burned out, not quitting — done, because we'd actually finished what we set out to do. There's not much left on the list. We are beyond grateful for what God did in us and through us along the way.

So what now? Steve's moved on to writing — including The Golden Waffle Principle — and he's still teaching Latin, because apparently one dead language isn't enough for him. Wildman's still pastoring, now also serving as a Chaplain, wrote and produced his own CD, and got his start as a DJ with Classic Christian Rock Radio. Honestly, the man still hasn't decided what he wants to be when he grows up.

Along the way we learned a lot — what musicians actually go through, what it really takes to "make it" in this industry, and yeah, the frustration of watching the institutional church miss the point sometimes. It happens.

The archive's still here. We're hoping it stays up for eternity.
